Dear Scentsy Consultants,

On your mark -- get set -- go!

We'd like to invite all of you in Idaho and eastern Oregon to join Orville, Heidi, and the entire Scentsy home office staff for this year's Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" in Boise. The time is now to recruit your friends and family to sign up for the Scentsy team, because the registration deadline is Thursday, April 29, 2010.

Heidi and Orville have generously agreed to pay the $20 registration fee for all—yes that’s right, all—friends and family members of Scentsy consultants, employees and suppliers. That means it is free for everyone to be part of the Scentsy "Race for the Cure" team and there are no limits on the number of participants. Heidi and Orville are aiming for a team of thousands! Everyone who participates, including the kids, will receive a Scentsy "Race for the Cure" T-shirt.

It is quick and easy to register, all you need to do is:

  1. Invite your friends and family to be part of our team. You can forward this email to them or print it out. The event is Saturday May 8, 2010. The Komen website also has great resources for using social networking sites such as Facebook to help with your recruiting efforts.

  2. Go to the event website at http://race.komenboise.org.

  3. Use the right hand navigation buttons to select "join a team."

  4. Search for Scentsy Inc. team.

  5. Follow the registration steps and be sure to enter the following discount code STS2102V in all CAPS. This will ensure Scentsy will be billed for your registration.

If you need any help with the registration process, call Scentsy at 877-855-0617 and ask for Camber Cox or Julie Anderson, who can assist you.

We are so excited about this event. Let’s show our community the Scentsy spirit in action and help make "Race for the Cure" a huge success!

Warm wishes,
Peggy Jordan

Relief Society Birthday Party

Hey Sisters!

We hope to see all of you at our awesome Birthday Bash on Thursday the 25th!

There has been a bit of confusion for some of us... including myself about the party... which till right now has been called a dinner. There is in fact no real dinner... unless you count lots and lots of sweets as dinner (which I'm SURE all of us do on occasion!) But... like I said... and this invite here says... there will definitely be a lot of fun treats! As well as an amazing opportunity to learn some more about our incredible RS program, and do a bit of service while getting to know more of the girls in our ward! :-)

With Spring days away and the sun shining brightly I thought this invite was a perfect way to spread some warmth!

Happy St Patrick's Day Everyone!

Health Specialist Post

Hello Sisters,

As the new RS Health Specialist I wanted to let you know that if you have any questions call me, e-mail me, or catch me after church; my contact information is on the visiting teaching list. If I don't have an answer for you right then I will do some research and get back to you with in a week.

Right now as we are in the middle of flu season I wanted to offer some information. First of all the flu (this years flu is also called the "H1N1 virus" and if you would like you can translate my word "flu" for "H1N1 virus" and the same basic information applies) is not something that makes you throw up, gives you an upset stomach or anything else along the GI lines. Speaking from past experience the flu feels like a train ran you over and gave you a cold. Symptoms usually sound something like this: Fever, Aches, Pains, Headache, Chills, Dry Cough, The need to sleep under a warm blanket and just NOT MOVE for hours and hours at a time, and usually a little whininess or whineness. Onset is usually quick, you go from feeling fine to feeling as though someone used your body as a punching bag with in 3-4 hours.
If you or your spouse come down with this variety of symptoms, I'm sorry, really sorry, but here is what you do. WASH YOUR HANDS! This will decrease the risk of your spouse catching the flu, also wash everything that the sick person touches (bedsheets, teddy bear and video-game controller etc.). Then, Call me! I will bring sympathy, Tylenol and chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately there is not much else you can do; an antibiotic will not help-the flu is a virus, the myriad of vitamins (C, Zinc, Euchinacea, or others) might help, but then they might not. Fortunately the flu usually only last a week sometimes up to two weeks so you will be OK just stay in bed and give it some time.
